Red is the color of France: Tonight we are in Dinan: known for being a medieval town: stone buildings all around us; but nothing here really besides pretty buildings: this morning we got up in Caen; got on the train to Bayeux which is an adorable town: (mom and dad hill it reminded me of a french delphi greece): we both got a croissant and cafe creme at a small cafe and watched the locals gather baguettes and fruit for the day: while the old ladies kissed french style and the locals greeted us with a bonjour; we were in heaven: we attempted to go to the dday beaches; but failed: apparently the a,erican beaches are next to impossible to get to without a car or tourguides which only take place' in the summer: oh well: after that; a failed atte,pt at finding mont st michel: after having some of our most thrilling endeavors cancelled {dday for anna and mont st michel for caitlin]; we realized life wasnt so bad; the best part of france is the food; we sat on the cliffs above the ww2 deportation beach and enjoyed some french baguettes; amazing cheese; and some grapes unlike anything we have ever tasted:delight: meow: i would like to take this time to shout out to camp hammer peeps 2007: tonight; weird but cool looking hostel: peace: send some love; we send ours: pics later we hope;;;maybe not: mwahaha

I'm so happy to hear you're well and enjoying your days. Dad and I check the blog everyday. We're at Spanish Head after watching volleyball all day in Willamina.
Can't wait for pictures! Is the weather warm? How are the sleeping bags working out?

Anna, your Grandpa Cramer (whose birthday would have been today. Sept. 9) landed at Cherbourg during WWII. He was in Paris several times, both during and after the war. He had great stories of his time in France, as will you. Be well, little kitties!

Nanner and Caitlin,
Sounds like you made the best out of what was given you. Good luck in your trip. May you never hear uttered to you "c'est domage!" Best of luck.
